Builder Membership:
Builder Members are required to hold and maintain an active North Carolina General Contractor’s License. This membership category includes professionals engaged in residential or commercial construction, remodeling, general contracting, custom-building, green, and similar trades.

Associate Membership:
Associate Members are businesses or professionals involved in the building industry who are not licensed general contractors. This category includes, but is not limited to, interior designers, architects, mortgage bankers, suppliers, subcontractors, landscapers, painters, engineers, and other organizations that support or provide services to the construction and home building industry.

Members of the Association shall uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and service. To that end, all members agree to the following principles:

  • Members shall consistently strive to provide greater value and quality to the customers they serve.
  • Members shall openly share their knowledge and experience with fellow members and the public, always acting in the best interest of those they serve.
  • Members shall not secure business through fraudulent statements, misleading implications, or claims unsupported by fact or reasonable probability.
  • Members shall not perform, nor cause to be performed, any act that would bring disrepute upon themselves, the Association, or any part of the building industry.
  • Members shall comply—both in spirit and in letter—with all laws, regulations, and guidelines established by governing authorities, in support of the health, safety, and advancement of the community.
  • Your Membership may be revoked for violating this Code of Ethics.
